First master-class by Yuri BOYKO was named "Start-up and Venture Capital" and was devoted to major issues of venture entrepreneurship, with investment attraction as being the most important part. According to Yuri`s data, only 3% of companies, who send their business plans to investors, receive funding . 52% of new companies cease to exist before turning 4 years old. Yuri`s opinion is that success in the venture business is an exception, not a rule. However, those exceptions gave world the most successful companies such as Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, Cisco and others.
Denis DOVGOPOLIY, managing partner at BayView Innovations, has said that seminar series are an invitation for Ukrainian innovators and entrepreneurs to adopt experience and methods of Silicon Valley`s successful venture entrepreneurs, and an opportunity to present their ideas and technologies for further development into high-tech start-ups in USA.
